    This lovely painted armoire still maintains the quality and details of the original hand-painted finish. The soft, gentle colors with delightful floral motifs are beautifully executed. Notice the four panels of flowers in the door against a traditional faux wood brown background. Striking in this armoire is the lovely landscape painting along the lower drawer. Impressive painting continues along the large canted sides while the date of 1834 and monogram of MM are seen under the crown. Note the Christogram, "IHS" painted between the iron key hole and decorative iron pull.
