Antique 19th Century Thomas Chippendale Hardwood Silver Tea Table Stamped Base
About the Item
We are delighted to offer this very rare, restored, Thomas Chippendale style, Fret work carved, occasional silver tea table in Mahogany with serial number stamped base
This table is stunning, I would say late 19th, the timber patina is exquisite as is the carving, the table reeded legs, ornate fret work carving to the stretchers and leg arches, it is a sublime piece. The base has a serial number stamped to it of B3462, its a very Gillow's of Lancaster & London looking stamp, I haven't had time to research it
The table has been lightly restored to include a wash back and French polish, the idea being to keep the original, desirable patination but make it gallery ready
