A striking French Mid-Century Chinoiserie low table in the manner of legendary Parisian design house Maison Jansen. Featuring an exceptional hand lacquered panel top depicting Asian figure and landscape, inset in heavily patinated gilt metal base, rising on tubular reeded legs joined by x-form cross stretcher. circa 1960

15" High, 29" Wide, 19" Deep
Excellent presence, with good size and proportions, ideal for use as a low coffee table, chair side table, sofa end table, cocktail drinks table, bedside nightstand, lamp stand and more.
Condition Report:
Good original unrestored vintage condition with nicely aged warm patina. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Wear consistent with age, use, handling and exposure, including minor scattered nicks to the top and significantly patinated metal base with gilt losses, oxidation and tarnish, nothing that detracts from the aesthetics or functionality but only adds to the sophisticated vintage character, elegant warmth, and rich historical depth that can only be acquired over long periods of time!
