1950's Italian side or occasional table produced by I.S.A. Bergamo
Dimensions of slightly wedge shaped top are:
The narrow end is 16.5” wide versus 19.5” wide. Length of top is 28.5”.
Isa Bergamo, (Industria Salotti e Arredamenti) a company that was founded after the end of WWII in Ponte San Pietro and was known for their technical precision and artisinal quality. ISA had many important collaborators including Gio Ponti, Ico and Luisa Parisi, Guglielmo Veronesi and Sergio Rodrigues.
This sculptural table has a sharp angular ebonized wood base and a cantilevered maple wedge top.
Very very good original condition. Even the underside is beautifully finished.
