About the Item

Leda low table designed by Dali manufactured by BD. Legs in black patina not varnished. tabletop in brushed and varnished brass, black varnished patina. Nero Marquina marble egg on top. Measures: 51 x 190 x 61 H.cm Year: 2009 The black label collection came to market in a limited edition of 105 pieces (the age of Dali in 2009). All pieces of ironwork in this collection are made of brass. The Black Label Leda Collection has an artisanal application of a special patina (metal dissolved in nitric acid) which is applied to a lightly heated surface accomplished with a gas blow torch. The reaction caused results in an irregular dark finish. Each exquisite piece is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, infusing it with a sense of individuality and artistry. The process of creating each item ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike, as subtle variations and unique characteristics emerge through the artisan's touch. These distinctive qualities may manifest as slight differences in texture, small scratches, or variations in the brass finish, serving as a testament to the authentic craftsmanship and the human element invested in every creation. Furthermore, as part of the inherent charm of these handcrafted pieces, some variations might present themselves as occasional stains or slight tone differences on the surface, adding to the allure of their uniqueness. Embracing these variations, our handcrafted pieces must be considered sculptures, each one telling a story of the artisan's dedication and evoking a sense of timeless elegance that cannot be replicated by mass-produced alternatives. These nuances celebrate the organic nature of the crafting process and contribute to the character and soul of every item, elevating it from mere decor to a cherished masterpiece in its own right.
