Vintage Kai Kristiansen Elevator Table Mid Century Danish Teak

About the Item

A fascinating and versatile metamorphic table designed by Kai Kristiansen. The ingenious table functions both as a coffee table, and when expanded becomes a regular size dining table to easily fit 4 places. The table can also be used as a large coffee table when extended at it's lower height. Constructed in teak with a striking grain, finished with rounded edges and organic legs. The smart design works smoothly and is very satisfying to transform.     Refinished. Excellent condition with only minor signs of wear to the underside commensurate with age. The extending mechanism works perfectly. All parts and functions are intact. The table has had a fresh finish with a hard wax oil.
