1750 Venezia Wooden Light Blue and Green Lacquered Engraved Console with Flowers

About the Item

This is an extraordinary Venetian console in carved, perforated, lacquered and gilded wood with polychrome flowers on the light blue and green background. Some parts of it are in gilted wood. The top is lacquered to imitate the marble. The curved shape of the body, on the front, on the sides and of the feet, the rich carving, are the result of the high level craftemanships of the Venetian master cabinetery. Resting on elegant and carved legs, the console attains an airy, and fine elegance. The console showcases its elegance and the exquisite level of craftmanships through meticulousy carved edges and fine and depictions of floral drawings This magnificent piece hails from the Mid-18th Century in Venezia and masterfully shows the lacquered Venetian style. Its carefully considered proportions, refined carvings, magnificent color of the lacquer, and premium materials culminate in this console that shows sophistication and grace.
