About the Item

18th Century, Italian Rococo Elm Wood Console Table Dimensions: W 92 x D 53.5 x H 71.5 This console table was made in Northern Italy during the Barocchetto period, in the mid-18th century. It features a sinuous and undulating top on the front and sides, veneered in elm burl, with a central rectangular frame inlaid with dark wood. The apron, also veneered in elm burl, is curved and has a front drawer with a wooden pull. It is surrounded by a solid elm wood border that follows the shape of the apron. The four legs are made of solid elm wood, curved and undulating, ending in scroll feet. This table, which can be used as a console, is perfect for placement against walls and can easily fit in living rooms, studies, entrances, or hallways. Its decorative nature, with its flowing lines, allows it to blend well with both antique and modern furnishings.
