The 'Butterfly in the dining table version made of solid wood is a project that Hannes Peer together with Claudio Spotti of SEM have been pursuing for a long time. The final decision came in view of the Salone 2021. The aim was to create a piece of furniture that was aesthetically the child of the iconic 'Butterfly' console but constructively it had to be diametrically opposed. The 'Butterfly' Dining Table is in fact made with several layers of solid poplar wood composed as a structure and receives its external finish with a 'Masselletto' of Canaletto Walnut with a velvety surface. An immediately visible detail is the so called 'Butterfly' Joint at the center of each leg that characterizes this design object and renders it unique. "Flores" is a console table, designed by Nestor Perkal and manufactured by Oscar Maschera, featuring a steel base epoxy powder coated and bronze colored and a tabletop made of honeycomb wood covered by vegetable tanned leather. It's part of the "Isole" collection. Colors combination to be chosen from the available range. Indoor use only. Though he trained as an architect, his work has always been oriented to design and interior architecture. In 1985, he founded an international design gallery in Paris, l’Espace Nestor Perkal, where he was among the first in Europe to show and sell pieces from the “New International Design” movement: Memphis Milano, Mariscal and many others. From 1987-1994, he was the artistic director of the goldsmith’s company Algorithme, where he invited many designers to work on edition projects that were highly successful in France and abroad. As a designer, he has collaborated with Drimmer, Lou Fagotin, Artcodif, Veronese, etc. At CIRVA (International Research Centre on Glass and Plastic Arts), he created the Miroirs collection in 1994-1996. As an interior architect, he has furnished the “café” of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, different areas for Cartier and the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, as well as many private apartments and houses.
