About the Item
A beautiful and extremely decorative Italian 19th century Louis XV st. wrought iron, gilt metal, and Coquillier de Bilbao marble console. The wall mounted console is raised by striking scrolled supports with a unique double design and connected by a beautiful stretcher with an elegant central scrolled pierced gilt metal reserve. Each support is adorned with exceptional large scrolled acanthus leaves and additional scrolled designs flanking the impressive and most decorative pierced frieze centered by superb scrolled wrought iron designs with lovely gilt metal acanthus leaf accents and a Fleur de Lys. Above is the original Coquillier de Bilbao marble with a most decorative scalloped shape and a fine mottled border.
