Pair Of Italian 19th Century Venetian St. Giltwood And Marble Console

About the Item

A stunning pair of Italian 19th century Venetian st. giltwood and Brèche d'Alep marble consoles. Each wall mounted console is raised by two most elegant cabriole legs with beautiful scrolled acanthus leaf feet, lovely family crest like cabochon reserves with fine rosettes, and additional finely detailed scrolled acanthus leaves. The legs are connected by a striking palmette designed foliate stretcher with the frieze displaying an exceptional pierced reserve with a most decorative richly carved central seashell flanked by a lovely lattice design with charming blooming flowers and scrolled foliate movements. Above each leg are superb block reserves flanking beautiful interlocking leaves and amidst luxuriant floral designs all below the beautiful original Brèche d'Alep marble tops.
