Antique Georgian 18th Century Satin Walnut Bureau Desk Writing Table – a rare and exquisite piece featuring veneer on oak and elm construction. This charming bureau is full of age, character, and elegance, enhanced by its attractive inlays. This charming bureau is full of age, character, and elegance, enhanced by its attractive inlays. It has no loose joints, and the heavy elm-lined drawers slide freely, indicating the quality of its craftsmanship and construction. Dimensions: 108cm W x 48cm D (81cm D with fall front down) x 110cm H (writing surface: 102cm W x 53cm D x 80cm H). In good antique condition, this desk exhibits historic knocks, marks, wear, and imperfections typical of functional antique furniture, along with minor veneer and trim losses, repairs, and alterations. It features later handles, and there are treated, inactive woodworm holes, which are common in 18th-century furniture. Please note that there is no key available, resulting in untested locks, and some charming distortion or waviness can be observed on the drawer fronts. Stock No.: 19218
