About the Item

Fantastic Directors desk and credenza model Artona by renowned design duo Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto, Italy 1970s. This striking design features a walnut burl desk top, inlaid with burgundy leather on the writing surface, with solid inlaid walnut wooden edges featuring the iconic striped inlaid walnut design, which the Artona series is famous for. The desk features two shallow drawers, with leather handles. The backside of the desk is also covered with burgundy leather, allowing the desk to be freestanding. This desk was made to be part of the more sophisticated high-end division of B&B Italia: Maxalto. The matching credenza is made of beautiful grained walnut with inlaid edges, and the burgundy leather covers the drawers, door and backside of the credenza, providing an appealing look. The Credenza is placed on wheels, making it easy to move it around the room to grab a few necessities and roll it back into position. An overal striking desk set, which will instantly make a statement in any office area.
