This unique English bamboo and figured walnut secretary desk combines traditional chinoiserie style with the late 19th century's new trends of the Aesthetic movement. The desk top has up swung and down swung ends, the shelves are organized in an almost abstract configuration and the surfaces are decorated with artful carved bone ornaments in casual order.
