Jean Prouvé, Compas Desk, circa 1950 Black melamine laminated plywood top on black lacquered folded steel legs, with original drawer pack in yellow moulded plastic by Charlotte Perriand 72cm high, 140cm wide, 70cm deep Provenance: Formerly in the private collection of Guy Brunache, a Parisian architect in the 1950s who collaborated on projects with the modernist architects Georges Candilis, Alexis Josic and Shadrach Woods. Brunache was a regular client of the Steph Simon gallery, from where it is believed he purchased this desk.
