Solid Oak Desk by Raphael Raffel for Maison Internationale Paris, France, c. 1955. This elegant desk consists of a solid oak construction, dark formica top, and brass-capped feet. Originally made for the Maison Internationale Paris, this desk is a rare example of Raphael Raffel's early work as a furniture designer. Literature: Guy Bloch-Champfort, Raphaël Decorator, Les éditions de l'Amateur, Paris, 2002 (similar model is represented on p. 92).
