About the Item

Unique and heavy built, turn of the century Gothic Revival table. This stunning table looks like it was made in the 15th century, but we feel someone in the early 20th century has gone to great length (and has done a great job) in making this table look medieval. They may also have used oak that was already much older. What matters most ofcourse is that this hand-crafted, hand-carved, heavy, rustic and ancient looking table has the most wonderful look and feel and a great patina. Whether you will use it as a large side table in an even larger room or entrance, or, whether you will use it as a dining table or private desk, this solid oak, Gothic Revival antique will never fail to impress you or anyone visiting. This hand-carved refectory table with sitting lions on the wedges (image 4 and 5) can be disassembled into eight pieces. This will make it much easier to move and also to place it in any room you wish. In image 6 you can see two openings just below the table top. That is where an extra part could be wedged in to lengthen the table-top, but that part is no longer with the table. If you wish, we can (free of charge) have our restorers close those two openings. Mind you, the color of this stunning table is as in image 1 and 2. The close up images do not represent the real color.
