Modern Industry Oval Dining Table in Walnut and Oxidized Steel Wishbone Legs
About the Item
The latest iteration of the Serif series, this dining table features an extraordinarily rare bookmatched set of clear, wide, figured walnut slabs. A hidden center channel is covered in removable steel panels, which lift off with the help of a hand carved magnetic opener. A hand washable, food safe, removable walnut tray resides inside the channel. The signature Serif Series legs are CNC flame cut, which allows for endless customizability. This table is finished with a light oxidized finish on the walnut, and a deep rust patina on the steel, lacquered and buffed to a leathery texture. Custom sizes, materials and finishes are available..

Founded in 2010, Modern Industry is a modern furniture design and fabrication studio located on Chicago's West side. Devoted to the elegant marriage of hand craftsmanship with technological innovation, we create luxury contemporary furnishings made to be passed down for generations- the antique furniture of the future.
Customers can choose from a variety of domestic hardwoods, including Walnut, Oak, Elm and Maple, finished in a selection of standard finishes, or custom finishing for an additional fee.
Steel can be finished in a variety of standard patinas, powder coated to any RAL color, or paint matched to any shade for an additional fee.
