About the Item
Late 19th century elm Sutherland table from England.
Sutherland tables are wonderful tables to tuck away when not in use because of their narrow depth.
This table is a particularly nice example due to it being made from elm, which has extraordinary graining. The top is supported on a base with hand turned trestle legs, joined by a similar turned stretcher. The table has two gate legs, which swing out to support the leaves.
The top, when open, measures 29.13 inches in diameter.
