Blackened Bronze & Blue/Black Lacquered "Behepoda" Art Piece Cocktail Table
Located in New York, NY
The table was in part influenced by Armand Albert Rateau and Eileen Gray. Their influence is evident in this complex piece of many art processes. Sketched while listening to Bjork’s song “Bachelorette”, (which has absolutely nothing to do with the show or dating), the table is dark and pays homage to the cephalopods of the deep and the corals near the surface, while octopus’ suckers or coral polyps break the surface. Comprised of custom cast and blacken bronze of great weight supporting an ultra-thin and hollow surface of a moonlit blue...

Custom Made Bronx Martini Table Blackened Steel Glacier Inspired Glass Surface
Located in London, GB
As Louis Vuitton reinvents its iconic pattern each year, Casa Botelho does the same with the Martini Collection. While João always stays true to the original form - inspired by the golden age of Hollywood and the iconic martini cocktail - this year, he will be partnering with Decorum Est and artisan Peter McGuire, to create sensual surfaces that will adorn the beloved Martini petite tables. Bronx table was inspired by the cocktail of the same name, originated in 1905 by a New Yorker restaurateur Joseph Sormani. Like the Manhattan, the Bronx was one of five cocktails named after New York boroughs. Perfectly symmetrical, The Bronx has a bold geometric shape with a masculine glamour style. The price on display is for the Bronx Martini...

Light Bronze Kangaroo Martini Table in Powder Coated Cracked Gesso
Located in London, GB
SHOWROOM ITEMS The Kangaroo table is inspired by the most iconic of the martinis. Also known as the classic “vodka martini” the Kangaroo was made famous by the James Bond movies and his request for the cocktail to be “shaken, not stirred”. Like 007 himself, The Kangaroo table is disarmingly seductive and sophisticated. Our metal products are hand-made. Due to its hand-finished nature and techniques used to apply different finishes, it is expected to see variations in the metal work. We believe this gives character to the item and make each piece unique. The price listed is for the light bronze Kangaroo Martini table with cracked gesso...

Keller was awarded with a gold and a silver medal at the 1867 and 1878 Paris World Exhibitions. After 1878, the Keller brothers succeeded the father and started producing silverware, which was again rewarded at the 1889 and 1900 world fairs respectively, with a gold medal and a Grand Prix. In his beginnings established at 65 rue de Turbigo in Paris, Keller moved their shop and workshop to 22 rue Joubert in 1891. In 1929, the shop was mentioned as trading from 18 Avenue Matignon and was still active possibly as late as 1947. In 1889, Lucien Falize wrote that "everything stamped Keller is good" (the firm was later known as "Keller fils et gendre successeurs"). Keller Company attracted brilliant and international customers and was appointed official supplier of several courts (Spain, Russia, Greece and Romania). The Russian Court was an important client and from 1897, the last Tsar regularly purchased artifacts from the Parisian silversmith. Vintage, New and Antique End Tables

Beyond just providing additional tabletop space for your living room, an attractive vintage end table can help you organize as well as display books and decorative objects.

The term “end table” is frequently used interchangeably with “coffee table,” and while these two furnishings have much in common, each offers their own distinctive benefits in your space.

Your end table is likely going to stand as tall as the arms of your sofa, and its depth will match the seating. These attributes allow for tucking the table neatly at the end of your sofa in order to provide an elevated surface between your seating and the wall. End tables are accent pieces — they’re a close cousin to side tables, but side tables, not unlike the show-stealing low-profile coffee table, are intended to be positioned prominently and have more to do with the flow and design of a room than an end table, which does a great job but does it out of the way of everything else.

End tables with a drawer or a shelf can easily stow away books or television remotes. Living-room end tables frequently assist with lighting, specifically as they’re often positioned adjacent to a wall. Their height and compact tabletop render them ideal for table lamps and plants, particularly if parked near a window.

And given their practicality, there is no shortage of simple, streamlined end tables from mid-century modern favorites such as Baker Furniture Company, Dunbar and Knoll that will serve your clutter-clearing minimalist efforts or wide-open loft space well. But over the years, furniture designers have taken to venturesome experimentation, crafting tables from fallen trees, introducing organic shapes and playing with sculptural forms, so much so that your understated end table might eventually become the centerpiece of a room, no matter where you choose to place it. One-of-a-kind contemporary designs prove that there are endless options for what an end table can be, while furniture makers working in the Art Deco style have proven that end tables can be stacked, staggered and nested at will, creating all kinds of variations on this popular home accent.

Find an extraordinary variety of antique, new and vintage end tables on 1stDibs today.
