About

Starting with the open talon claw and ball feet—a rarity—this table has it all. It has the desirable concertina action, which makes for a very sturdy table, and is highly sought after by collectors. The legs have leaf carving on the knees with uniquely pronounced scrollwork. In addition to its original drawer and hardware, this table is in a Fine original state of preservation. Its scale is very dynamic, as The Claw and ball feet are very well developed, and connote a strong stance.
This table is the best of its kind, and was retailed in New York by Hyde Park Antiques, Ltd., an outfit known for high quality antiques.
