The epitome of refined elegant sophistication and classic warmth, a lovely antique English Chippendale style mahogany flip-top console games table. circa 1900
Born in England in the early 20th century, hand-crafted of high-quality warm rich solid mahogany with attractive grain detail, having a bow front shaped top, stepped edge with carved trim, the top pivots to reveal storage compartment underneath, the brass hinged top unfolds to green baize felt lined game surface, gracefully rising on long cabriole legs adorned with acanthus leaf knee carvings, ending in finely hand carved ball and claw feet.

Great original antique condition with beautifully aged warm rich dark patina over the whole. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Retaining original antique character marks and charm throughout, including evidence of old restorations, age related warping, all wear consistent with age and indicative of use. Presents splendidly.
Delivered cleaned, waxed, with hand rubbed polished French patina finish, ready for immediate use and generational enjoyment!
