A lovely antique French Transitional two tier tea serving table with beautifully aged warm rich heavily worn distressed patina. circa 1920 Born in France in the early 20th century, exceptionally executed in elegantly sophisticated Louis XV - XVI Transition style with a nod to luxurious period Art Deco taste, hand-crafted of mahogany and exotic kingwood, having matched sunburst veneer tops framed by inlaid banded trim, adorned with gilt bronze mounts and unusual hand-painted faux banding, rising on transitional cabriole legs, ending on patinated brass sabots. Some veneer and trim loss adds to the overall antique character and charm, see photos and condition report below. Overall a wonderful example Dimensions: (approx) 32.75" High, 25.5" Wide, 16" Deep As warm and attractive as it is useful, having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a dessert server, buffet table, hall console, sofa table, cocktail drinks bar cart, accent piece, and more Condition Report: Distressed. Good original unrestored antique condition with beautifully aged warm rich dark patina. Strong, sturdy, stable, and structurally sound. Retaining original antique character marks and charm throughout. Wear consistent with age and indicative of heavy use, including having a dark circular drink mark - stain to both tiers, veneer wood chips and losses, especially to legs, loss to apron bronze mount, resulting in one side presenting better than the other.
