French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Mahogany, Satinwood and Ormolu Side Table
About the Item
A most elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany, satinwood and ormolu oval side table. The table is raised by fine circular tapered legs with their original ormolu casters. The legs are joined by a display tier, inlaid with satinwood within a mahogany band and ormolu pierced gallery. Above the circular tapered supports is the frieze with one central drawer and fluted ormolu recessed reserves above each leg. The drawer pulls out to reveal three fine fitted pewter compartments. Decorated by satinwood panels framed within mahogany borders. All below the original white Carrara marble top fitted within a most elegant pierced ormolu gallery.
