Rare Vintage 1930s Order of the Eastern Star Light-Up Masonic Lodge Signet Sign
About the Item
This original 1930s signet was manufactured by the Demoulin Brothers & Co. of Greenville, Illinois. The Demoulin Brothers & Co. were famous for their line of wacky Gentlemen's lodge ceremonial and initiation devices/props. This particular piece was manufactured for the No. 493 Fowler, Indiana chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star. The signet features a pentagonal walnut frame, hand painted glass face (featuring the O.E.S 5-pointed star), and is wired with back-lighting and dial-controller that allows individual quadrants of the sign to light-up independently. Signet no longer has original base but would make a wonderful wall-hanging piece of Americana!
