19th Century Sailor's woolwork of a British Frigate at Anchor, circa 1880, adorned with an array of British ensigns and a full rig of signal flags strung along the stays. The hull has the unusual touch of having glass beads mounted in each gunport, and a metaliic gilt thread highlighting the strakes above and below the two rows of gunports, and on the sterncastle. Vintage Jimi Hendrix vinyl record illustrated on both sides with photos by Michael Ochs: The Interview, published in 1982.
Measures: 12 x 12 inches.
Looks brilliant framed.
Includes original die cut cover sleeve. Very nice overall vintage condition.
Jimi Hendrix (1942–1970) was a rock 'n' roll guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his electric guitar skills and wild showmanship. His prolific guitar playing and exceptional songwriting abilities catapulted him to fame and influenced musicians in other genres including hard rock, funk, and grunge. One of his most legendary performances took place on stage at Woodstock Music Festival in 1969, where he debuted his electric rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." His career lasted only four short years. Hendrix died in 1970, but his status as a legendary rocker lives on.

The quilt was hand stitched of individual pieces in each frame. It has four columns with each column having five baskets. It is truly a labor of love and dedication. The hand stitched quilts from the 19th and the early 20th centuries have become extremely collectable. Because it is so delicate and so beautiful, it would be a wonderful piece to use as a wall art tapestry. The quilt was recently professionally hand washed and it is pristine clean and smells wonderful and ready to be used.
