Two Vintage Framed Shield Form Heraldic Crests
About the Item
Large tanned leather shield forms with nail head trim and carved and painted applied crests with some gilt details. Each with a different crest- one with a swan and rampant lions, the other with a lion head and rampant unicorn and stag. The gilt identifying bands with worn black lettering.

fine carved ebonized and gilt frames 22 3/4 x 22"
Condition: shields with a few stains, the frames with a few chips, otherwise good with a striking presentation.
