1958 Large Abstract Painting by Leonard Buzz Wallace

About the Item

An exceptional large abstract oil painting on canvas by Leonard "Buzz" Wallace (1932-2021). Circa 1958. The abstract and figural paintings sold here on 1stDibs were all purchased from the Wallace's estate in Westbrookville, NY where he resided and set up his studio. The canvas has been professionally restored with a light cleaning and varnish. Unframed. Signed and dated verso, Wallace, 458-C, Oct-58. Good overall condition. The surface paint is stable. No rips or tears. There are some areas of surface paint fracture (see photos) that are mentioned for accuracy. These areas do not affect the painting's structure or stability. The stretched canvas measures approximately 2" deep x 48.25" wide x 60.25" high.
