An exceptional, abstract-composition painting by École de Paris artist Marcel Burtin. A beautifully-vibrant, blues-dominant blaze executed in the early 1960s by this prolific, acclaimed French painter. Burtin's illustrious career overlapped both the eras of the early Modern Masters as well as the post-war “Jeune École de Paris”; garnering international praise with solo and group exhibitions alongside maestros such as Picasso, Matisse, De Stael, Léger, and Singier. His work is represented in various museums of Modern Art including the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris. Piece is signed "M. Burtin 62". An outstanding example by a genuine modern master painter.
