A remarkable piece of Italian wall art inspired by the classical Roman villas of Tivoli and ancient Rome. This hand-painted fresco captures an idyllic garden scene with cypress trees, floral urns, symmetrical architecture, and a stately villa in the background – evoking the refined lifestyle of Roman aristocracy.
Created by Maestro Dario, this piece was painted using the authentic buon fresco technique, where natural pigments are applied to fresh lime plaster. It was later detached from the wall using the historic Calicot method and transferred onto canvas – a rare and highly skilled process traditionally used to preserve genuine frescoes.
The style reflects the grandeur of Classical Roman decorative art, reminiscent of the garden murals of Pompeii and Tivoli’s luxurious villa interiors. Executed by the renowned Italian atelier Mariani Affreschi, the work carries a certificate of authenticity and represents true old-world craftsmanship in a contemporary frame.
