English 19th Century Framed Still-Life Violin Painting Signed Maurice Charles

An English framed still-life painting from the 19th century depicting a violin, flowers and a candle, signed Maurice Charles. Created in England during the 19th century, this framed still-life depicts a delicate vignette made of a violin, whose verticality is accented by the presence of a candle and a bouquet of flowers displayed in a crystal vase. The beaded bracelet casually falling from the stacked leather books, creates a link between the foreground and the background. Bathed by a soft light coming from the window on the left, this still-life is signed Maurice Charles lower right. The back showcases the paintings details, including artist's name, title and owner.
