About the Item
Oil on artist board of a vibrant, idyllic landscape scene from France. Worn painted frame is fixed with a hanging wire. Signed by the artist Constantin Font (1890-1954) in the bottom left hand corner. A sticker on the backside lists the placement of the artwork in competitions from 1910-1937; one of these being the “Grand Pix” (grand prize) in an International Expo in Paris.
