Group of Three Miniature Portraits / English Gentlemen

About the Item

a group or collection of three miniature portrait paintings of gentlemen, framed together, the central larger picture, English Regency, shows a younger man with brown hair dressed in a style popular at that time, the other small ovals depict white haired (bewigged) Georgian gentlemen based on clothing and hairstyles, the gentleman on the left wears a beautiful blue coat, all three framed in "silver" ovals with loops at the top as they were once, almost certainly, worn on a ribbon or chain by a female relation, the group smartly framed in a simple black lacquer shadow box frame with gilt trim, England, late 18th / early 19th century central painting has a visible crack and is slightly askew MEASUREMENTS; 9" H x 12.25" W x 1" D frame 4.25" H x 3.25" W central oval 2.25" H x 1.75" W smaller ovals each side
