Pupino (Mario) Samonà nasce a Palermo nel 1925 da un'antica famiglia siciliana. Dal 1949 vive a Roma, dove partecipa alle avanguardie pittoriche del suo tempo. Sue mostre vengono allestite a Londra, Gerusalemme, Beirut, Basilea, Mosca oltre che in Italia. nel 2005, in concomitanza con il compimento del suo ottantesimo anno di età, Samonà torna nella sua città natale.
Per decenni, la ricerca di Pupino Samonà, ha armonizzato la pittura e la scienza in un percorso visionario, che verrà definito "figurativo del cosmo". Amico e allievo di Giacomo Balla, a lui si devono le influenze sui temi dell'energia e del cosmo, espressi nei suoi quadri mediante la pittura aerografa.
Nel 1980, Samonà realizza, su incarico dell'ANED (Associazione ex deportati) e sul progetto dell'architetto Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso (fondatore del celebre Studio BBPR), il Memoriale italiano Auschwitz, gigantesca opera (lunga oltre duecento metri) allestita al blocco 21 all'interno del campo di concentramento, in onore delle vittime italiane del lager. Mikhail Roshnyak was born in 1958 in Sterlitamak (Bashkiria, USSR) and studied in Moscow, at the Institute of Graphic Arts. In 1992 he founded the Miros-Yggs group in Leipzig and in 1993 he published the magazine "All-Manach" in Moscow, dedicated to the problems of alternative art. He is a member of the Union of Painters of Russia. Lives and works in Moscow.
For many years he has been studying the life and work of the famous futurist David Burliuk, who lived and worked in Bashkiria at the beginning of the 20th century. In Moscow, Mikhail Roshnyak held an exhibition dedicated to his work. And in the Buzdyaksky district of Bashkiria, where David Burliuk lived and worked at the beginning of the 20th century in 1915-1918, the artist plans to organize a biennale with the participation of modern painters. Blanchard received his initial artistic training at the Beaux-Arts in Rennes, Brittany. He then moved to Paris in 1932 where he joined the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He won the Prix de Rome.
Like Édouard Cortès (1882–1969) and Eugène Galien-Laloue (1854–1941), Antoine Blanchard essentially painted Paris and the Parisians in bygone days, often from vintage postcards. The artist began painting his Paris street scenes in the late 1950s, and like Cortès, often painted the same Paris landmark many times, in different weather conditions or various seasons. The most recurrent topics were views of the capital city in cloudy or rainy days, showing streets busy with pedestrians in a rush to go home, and bright storefronts reflecting on wet streets.
