A woman is seated in an Arcadian landscape and is being attended to with flowers being sewn into her hair.
There are winged putti below.
There is a light, ethereal feeling to the scene, there is a fairly vibrant use of colour and the artist has managed to capture movement very well.
It is potentially inspired by or a version of Bathsheba at the fountain.
Probably Italian or possibly French in origin.
In a simple gilt glazed frame.
The painting itself is in very good condition, it has been looked after well and the colours are still bright. The frame is largely in good order with some age-related wear and tear but nothing too serious.
