Large Oil On Canvas "Best Friends", Signed G. Hoy, 1930

About the Item

Lovely large oil on canvas "Best Friends" signed by the artist G. Hoy, 1930, depicting a young noble boy having a rest aside his best friend - a big Landseer dog - in a peaceful summer grassland idyll. In the back you can discover the woods with a small castle and a river with bridge, all painted in a very beautiful manner. During the restoration the painting was carefully cleaned and got a varnish finish. The lovely gilt frame with floral design elements from around 1920, perfectly completes the look of this gorgeous oil painting. Open dimension: 39" x 25.5".
