Large Pair of Early 19th Century Still life of Flowers

About the Item

Artist - Unknown but monogrammed AM Title - Pair of Still life of Flowers Oil on Canvas dating from the late 18th/early 19th century The dimensions are 130cm x 105cm A beautiful and large pair of oil on canvas still life. The flowers are Dutch in origin and the are almost certainly of Dutch origin. Both are monogrammed AM but we have not been able to ascertain the artist. The quality is excellent and they are in good overall condition, the canvas has been relined (probably early 20th century), some very minor paint loss to the front of the paintings, There is some to be expected ‘craquelure’ to the painted surface (see images). The frames shows some losses to the moulding in places Provenance: Barton Hall, Barton Blount, Derbyshire.
