Very unique and rare museum quality professionally framed Japanese Daimyo procession hand scroll, likely Meiji Period (1868-1911). The set of 4 scrolls feature ink and color figural scenes on paper, now mounted in four sections.
The scrolls comprise:

Professional mounted and frame in deep shadowbox style frames. The group weighs approximately 140 lbs
These museum quality, deluxe series of handscrolls, captures the pageantry of a grand procession of a daimyo (feudal chieftain) and his entourage en route to a battle. Samurai solders are seen here in battle - ready positions.
Acquired at an auction in Texas in 2020.
