About the Item
Nicola Simbari, Italian painter of semi-abstract impressionist works known for using colors and favoring brilliant tones, especially with a palette knife. Considered by many to be Italy's most important modern artist. Simbari's works can be found in numerous museums and private and corporate collections around the world. This is an oil on canvas depicting a landscape with a structure in the center, one figure walking to the right beneath the trees. Formerly the property of a Hebrew Home (see back of painting).
Presented in a gllt frame with linen mat and gilt fillet.
Signed lower right.
Titled landscape on verso.

Frame - 38 3/4" x 34 1/2" x 1 1/2" D
Condition: Please see detail photos. The painting in very good condition, frame with some discoloration to gilding, minor losses and flaking which do not diminish the powerful Mid Century presentation.
