"Perseus Rescuing Andromeda" Masterful Old Master Oil on Canvas Painting, Large size, framed. Painting depicts the dramatic scene from Greek mythology where Perseus, the hero, saves the princess Andromeda from the sea monster Cetus. Painting captures the moment of heroism with Perseus flying through the air, armed with his sword, while Andromeda is chained to a rock by the sea. The monster Cetus looms in the background, threatening the princess, while the ocean's waves crash around them. The scene is full of motion, with wind ruffling Perseus' cloak, and the stormy sea adds to the dramatic rescue.
