Vintage mid-century modern still life oil painting on canvas by Vintage mid-century modern still life oil painting on canvas by Joseph Duv. He was born in Algeria in 1918 and at the age of 18, he went to study fine art in Paris. The painting is signed on the lower right hand corner, "DUV". This painting depicts white and blue flowers in a vase. Brutalist style using heavy textured paint and mounted in a hand-caved gilded wood frame.
