About the Item
This beautiful poster was created in 1989 to promote British Railways new Network SouthEast region, and routes to the historic city of Chichester in West Sussex, England. The vibrant red design depicts the Market Cross in the city centre of Chichester and was designed by Edward Pond who was commissioned to create the artwork for a series of these posters of destinations in the new region.
The poster was published by CAS (BRB) for Network South East and was screen printed in England by Planet Displays Ltd. The artist Edward Pond (1929-2012) run his own consultancy and worked for a number of large companies and organisations with his varied artistic skillset.
