Henry Lemonnier (1887 - 1978) was one of the most popular French advertising artists after the First World War. He co-founded "Les Affiches Lutetia" with J. A. Mercier.
Known for his work in painting, engraving, and illustration, particularly in the early 20th century. His style was influenced by the Art Deco movement, often characterized by vibrant colours, geometric shapes, and a modern aesthetic.

This poster of "La Chablisienne" shows Chablis (the most northern wine district of Burgundy) as the epicentre of the globe. A red-haired woman in a Roman gown dominates this globe. She proudly brandished a bottle of Chablis, to announce to the world the birth of the cooperative: La Chablisienne.
The artist plays on different shades of blue and red, certainly to symbolize the colours of Chablis's coat of arms, which the woman wears on her breast. Clusters of grapes adorn the poster.
