Original vintage travel poster issued by British Railways - England's Stately Homes - featuring colourful artwork of Newby Hall in Yorkshire with a view from the River Ure of people walking along the manicured garden between flower beds towards the manor house with steps in the foreground and trees framing the image, the text and British Railways logo in the border below. Newby Hall was built in 1695-1705 and is located in North Yorkshire; this Grade I listed country house is now opened to the public. Printed in Great Britain for British Railways North Eastern Region by Jordison & Co Ltd London and Middlesbrough. Very good condition, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
