Original Vintage Skiing Poster Dartmouth College Winter Carnival 1953 Ski Design
About the Item
Original vintage ski poster for the Dartmouth Winter Carnival held on 6-7 February 1953 featuring a great graphic design by Dartmouth College student Leonard J. Clark (class of '56) depicting a skier holding up a lit torch and skiing downhill against a black background with the word Dartmouth curved behind him and the rest of the text in bold stylised snow topped lettering running down the side and below. The annual Dartmouth College Winter Carnival has been held since 1911. Good condition, restored paper losses, restored tears, restored pinholes, minor staining, backed on linen.
