Original vintage travel poster - Britain in Winter - featuring a stunning painting by the notable British artist Terence Tenison Cuneo (1907-1996) depicting people drinking and socialising outside a village pub named The Flying Swan in the countryside, a pet dog on a leash and a bicycle by a tree with hunting dogs next to two hunters carrying guns in the foreground, one hunter on a horse and the other smoking in the shade. Published by the Travel Association, Tourist Division of The British Tourist and Holidays Board. Printed in Great Britain by W.S. Cowell Ltd London and Ipswich. Very good condition, minor staining, backed on linen.

Terence Tenison Cuneo was a distinguished British painter famous for his scenes of railways, horses and military action. Cuneo was born in London on November 1, 1907. He was also the official artist for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Cuneo died on January 3, 1996, in Esher.
