Portrait of Charles de Montchal, Archbishop of Toulouse, half-length, directed to left and looking to front, with broad, plain collar, cross and mozzetta; a boar hunt in the background; in oval frame. Published by Balthasar Moncornet, circa 1660. Balthasar Moncornet (b.1600 Rouen, France d.1668 Paris, France) was a French painter, engraver, and tapissier that was revered for his depictions of around 45 different prominent figures of the 17th century.

This print was originally produced by Henri de Toulouse Lautrec for "La Gitane" or 'The Gypsy," a drama by Jean Richepin in 4 acts. The play was first performed at the Theatre Antoine on January 22nd 1900.
