A bold, abstract, pop art lithograph and screenprint in colors on Arches 88 paper titled “Warm Start, From Some New Prints” by David Hockney. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of 6/68 on the bottom right. Publisher/printer Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, 1993. The artwork has bold, vibrant, swirling colors in an expressionist style which is a visually interesting composition. A unique opportunity to own a sought-after limited-edition artwork by one of the most significant contemporary artists. Dimensions: 33.25”h x 37”w x 1.5”d (framed). In very good vintage condition. David Hockney (1937- ) is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. He is celebrated for being a pioneer of the 1960s British movement and in 1964 he moved to California where he captured a sunny, idyllic, sensual world. Hockney is an internationally acclaimed artist with a long list of museum shows at many prestigious institutions including The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Tate, the Guggenheim, de Young Museum, The Metropolitan Museum, and the Pompidou to name a few. His works on the secondary market have sold for over $90 million.
