Guillaume Azoulay "The Last Furlong" Sepia Colored Etching
This is a sepia-toned etching by Moroccan graphic artist Guillaume Azoulay. "Last Furlong" is a beautiful example of Azoulay's meticulous organic line work. In this mesmerizing piece, the artist achieves balance, harmony, contrast, and illusions of depth and movement. This piece is titled and numbered lower left as Edition 199/300, and pencil-signed lower right. It is in great condition, and displayed in a modern brown wooden frame that complements the sepia tones of the work.
Guillaume Azoulay was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1949. He was a self-taught artist who made the world his university. He moved to the United States in 1976 and became an American etcher. Since then, he has received international recognition as a successful and truly gifted artist. Azoulay was the youngest artist to be accepted into the permanent archives of the Musee du Louvre in Paris. His work can be found in major museums, and is held in many prominent and private collections worldwide.

Guillaume Azoulay has achieved international recognition as a successful and truly gifted artist. He has held major exhibits in Rome, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, Reno, Paris, Tel Aviv-Yafo and many other cities. One of his most notable accomplishments is the fact that Azoulay is the youngest artist to be accepted in the permanent archives of the Musée du Louvre, in Paris. His works are found in major museums and held in many prominent collections worldwide.
