Jürgen Von Konow (1915 - 1959) was a Swedish painter and graphic artist. He studied in Stockholm and Paris. In 1958, Von Konow published his own textbook on graphic design techniques in Sweden, Om Graphic: Historia och Teknik (Graphic Design: History and Technology). His book made an important contribution to the teaching of graphic design and graphics in Sweden. His first exhibition took place in Stockholm in 1938 at Galleri Gummesons. Konow's works are included in many public collections, including the Stockholm National Museum, Moderna Museet and Waldemarsudde in Stockholm, Vänersborg Museum, Gothenburg Art Museum, Stockholm City Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Linköping Museum, Oslo National Gallery, KODE : Bergen Art Museum, Ateneumin Helsinki and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
Konow died tragically on June 10, 1959 in a car accident in Växjö at the age of only 44.

This map is extremely scarce. It was issued and sold independently in Paris, 1813.
